Domestic violence and sexual assault survivors in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and northern Wisconsin have the opportunity to learn how trauma has impacted their life, explore resources and evaluate their options.

We’re providing services in a non-judgmental and supportive manner to survivors as they make decisions for their life. We treat others with dignity and respect and provide them with the support necessary to reestablish their sense of well-being. At the same time, the agency advocates for change in the larger society to eliminate bias and to enhance the ability of all individuals to be capable and accomplished members of society. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others!

Classmates in the Library

It takes a lot of courage to face the fact that you are involved with a partner who abuses you. And it takes even more courage to seek help. Remember that nobody deserves to be abused.

Safety Shelter Living Room

Our beautifully remodeled community living room provides survivors with this homey and comfortable setting to wind-down or watch television. Our advocates are always nearby to lend a helping hand. This area in the shelter includes a t.v., electric fireplace, washer and dryer, and cozy furniture to snuggle up on. Survivors can be assured they are entering a temporary home, not just an empty space for them to sleep.
